My name is Chuck Hollocker. Since I may be your child’s new Teacher, it is important that parents know who I am, how to contact me, and how to get information about our class on-line. I very much look forward to completing the year together and making my contribution to student success in science. As a retired engineer with years of teaching experience, I truly enjoy helping students with not just the assigned subject matter but also with the process of learning. My own educational background includes the following degrees: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering, and a Masters in Engineering; all from Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois. I hold a standard, dual certificate in Math & Physics and another for teaching Physical Sciences. I have completed college classes to advance my teaching skills, and am considered “highly qualified” by the state of Texas. Throughout my academic and professional life, I have facilitated discovery and learning. As an engineer, I might best characterize myself as a problem solver, coach and teacher. In the USAF I had duties as a drill instructor for a while before serving in a Special Activity Squadron.
